However, responding to the growing demand, Greene decided to extend his expertise to women's leg and body shaving as well. The result is the Aveline Razor, a game-changing innovation that combines ergonomic design with cutting-edge technology to deliver an unparalleled shaving experience for women.
The Aveline Razor stands out with its unique ergonomic design, specifically tailored to meet the needs of women. The razor features gliding roller-balls that effortlessly navigate around the knees and ankles, ensuring a smooth and nick-free shave. Additionally, the finger ring, which doubles as a built-in stand, provides a secure grip, making it especially convenient for women with arthritis or mobility issues. The push-button blade release system allows for quick and easy blade changes, eliminating any hassle or frustration.
Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, the Aveline Razor incorporates three metal gliding rollers commonly found on high-end cosmetic applicators. The Aveline Razor project commenced in April 2016 and was completed in May 2019. Throughout the design process, Greene and his team faced numerous challenges, with the blade cartridge docking system being the most complex. Unlike traditional razors, where the handle interlocks with the blade cartridge to create the pivot, Aveline incorporated the pivot onto the cartridge itself. This unique mechanism also enables side-to-side pivot action, resulting in the stem rotating within the body and shaft of the handle unit.
The Aveline Razor has garnered significant recognition in the design industry, including the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Beauty, Personal Care, and Cosmetic Products Design category in 2020. This accolade celebrates the razor's outstanding creativity, ingenious design, and its contribution to improving the quality of life for women worldwide.
